Set A: Four Supplementary Exercises (NZ$80)

The Four Supplementary Exercises are simple and easy to learn, and are suitable for practitioners at all levels.  Each of them can be used as an individual technique as well as in combination with other exercises.  They are effective tools for self-healing and strengthening.

Open-Close Pulling Qi is a useful technique for

gathering Qi and clearing unhealthy Qi.

The practice can strengthen the seven actions of

Qi: open, close, gather, disperse, enter, exit and transform. It is also a good exercise for getting Qi sensation for beginners.

Pour Qi Relaxation Exercise is especially good for relaxation as is the name suggested. When pouring

Qi through the body, healing can take place in every

part of the body as the mind directs Qi through.

It can also be used as preparation for practice of other forms.

Mouth Qigong is an excellent technique for

strengthening the digestive system.

It can be practiced anytime anywhere.

Rubbing Qi Exercise is a fast way to gather Qi in a particular part of the body to strengthen and transform unhealthy Qi in that part. It is also an effective way to build up Lower Dantian which is the foundation for physical Hunyuan Qi.

the body and improving health.

1. Squats: The movement of squatting and standing can promote the Qi and blood flow of the whole body.

It is also specifically beneficial for conditions of the

lower back and lower limbs.

2. Stretching Qi: The movement of opening and closing the shoulders and arms is to promote Qi flow in the

area from the chest up and strengthen the gathering

and dispersing of Qi in the area.

3. Bow Body, Arch the Back, Open Dumai: Doing this exercise can open various channels in the body,

especially the Du Mai (Governing Channel). It works on the whole body, and specifically targets the conditions of the spine and back.
