DVD Distance Training Programme for Qigong Teachers and Therapists

Yuan Tze Centre has developed an eight level training programme for Qigong teachers and therapists. This programme is now available for study by correspondence.

The eight level programme is being taught by Yuan Tze, the founder of the centre and an accomplished therapist and teacher who has undergone extensive and rigorous training in China over many years.

Qigong and Ren Xue (Human Life Science)

Ren Xue has absorbed the essence of a range of disciplines in Chinese culture, including Daoism, Qigong, Buddhism, Confucianism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, folk medicine, I Ching and martial arts. It has also incorporated the achievements of modern culture in science, philosophy and medicine.

Ren Xue looks at life at the fundamental level so that problems of all sorts, including health problems, can be better understood and practical solutions developed. Understanding the law of life is essential in helping us live in a way that follows this law. Ignorance of the law of life can manifest in every aspect of our lives including our consciousness and everything we do. This can result in suffering including illnesses. It is not hard to understand why the health of society as a whole can suffer when so many individuals are suffering through ignorance of the law of life.

Ren Xue has a distinctive approach to life and its problems:

• illness is seen as a disorder of Qi
• disorders of Qi are fundamentally the manifestation of problems of life
• problems of life are a manifestation of problems of consciousness
• the problems of each individual's consciousness and behaviour are rooted in the law of individual life
• the individual is the maker of his own law of individual life. It is therefore up to each individual to change the law of his life and take his destiny in his own hands.

If we really want to deal with the problems of life at the fundamental level or help others to do so, we have to work on all aspects of life at all levels. Otherwise, the effort we make to improve life can result only in superficial changes.

Qigong has developed and established itself as a comprehensive and profound way both of understanding life and the universe and of elevating life. It is therefore an essential part of Ren Xue. The Qigong Teachers and Therapists Training Programme aims not only to help people to become high level qigong practitioners and professionals but also to elevate the life of each participant. It presents an opportunity to learn Ren Xue in a comprehensive and systematic way.

Description of the eight levels of the Training Programme:

We recommend training starting with level 1. Once passing the assessment for level 1, you can start teaching on this level. The same goes for all the following levels.

Level 1: Certificate for Elementary Level One Zhineng Qigong Teachers: 8 Basic Exercises

Level 2: Certificate for Elementary Level Two Zhineng Qigong Teachers: First Method of Zhineng Qigong (Lift Qi Up & Pour Qi Down and Three Centres Merge Standing Form)

Level 3: Certificate for Intermediate Level Three Zhineng Qigong Teachers: Second Method of Zhineng Qigong (Body-Mind Form and Leading Along Jingmai (channels).

Level 4: Certificate for Intermediate Level Four Zhineng Qigong Teachers: Focuses mainly on the Third Method of Zhineng Qigong Wu Yuan Zhuang (Five Qi Hunyuan Form or Five Centres Form) and Zang Zhen Gui Yuan Fa (Return Pure Organ Qi to Hunyuan)

Level 5: Certificate for Intermediate Level Five Zhineng Qigong Teachers: Various Qigong methods such as Walking Qigong, Sitting Qigong, Standing Qigong, Lying Qigong, Eating Qi technique. Also working on bringing previous learning to a deeper level

Level 6: Certificate for Advanced Level Six Qigong Teachers & Therapists: First step of learning the art of Qigong therapy. This level is to help you develop the basic ability of diagnosing and treating various health conditions (physical and non-physical). Students can use the special techniques of Qigong therapy to perform effective treatments.

Level 7: Certificate for Advanced Level Seven Qigong Teachers & Therapists: This level will focus on advanced Qigong therapy.

Level 8: Certificate for Qigong Master:
How to develop life at the different stages from the beginning to the end for example, preparing for a pregnancy and dealing with death.
Fengshui: Understanding the relationship between humans & nature from the perspective of Fengshui.
Qigong Master level training activities.

The DVD distance learning programme, is a recording of the whole training programme. Each level consists of 50-60 hours of training on 23-26 DVDs. Yuan Tze believes ‘For anyone who is prepared to make a good effort to learn and who truly wants to change and work on life, the DVD programme will work equally well as the original programme.’

Note:This course is also open to students who are more interested in having intensive training for their own Qigong progress than becoming a teacher. They can start from any level and move on to the next without having to pass the assessment. However, if they decide to teach, they have to pass the assessment for all the previous levels.

Assessment:

Assessments for each level consist of a theory test and a practical test. The theory test can be done through email at any time. The practical test involves demonstrating the ability to teach the methods for the level. It can be done at the time we visit the area nearby the trainee or when the trainee attends our activities in New Zealand. It can also be done through Skype video.

I was lucky enough to discover Zhineng Qigong and Yuan Tze’s centre in Wellington NZ in 2005.The above program had been running for the previous 2 years and I managed to get onto the final level 8 for 2 weeks of life changing information. Such was the transformation that I wanted more, so I embarked on the DVD program thinking it was a second best to the original course. Now that I have completed it and passed my test I can say that the whole experience surpassed my expectations and prepared me well for starting my own classes for the community.

Practically the demonstrations are clear and precise, plus there is always the option of referring back...pausing to take in a more complicated theoretical concept. The guidance on how to teach is thorough.

The retreat consolidated and boosted my understanding and now that there is a forum for discussions, a senior teacher is not far away for reference. The only time limit is your own and I took 2 years to finish. The routine became part of my life so I always looked forward to my appointment with the DVD player, Yuan Tze, Melissa and the rest of the class maybe not seen but most definitely present!

With pleasure I write to express my thanks for being able to study Zhineng Qigong and Human Life Science presented by Yuan Tze through the availability of the DVD sets.

Fortunately my wife and I met Yuan Tze and the helpful staff at the Centre in Wellington. This was at a time when the Teachers and Therapists Course was well under way (four levels had been completed).

They are very complete and comprehensive. There is no doubt that the Essence of the teachings which Yuan Tze is so well-trained in and knowledgeable about, shine through via the TV or Computer (whichever the student chooses in the comfort of their home).

After returning home to Australia with the satisfaction of having learnt valuable lessons and information from a truly inspiring and dedicated Teacher, I decided to focus on absorbing as much of these teachings as possible. So began the process of learning from the DVD sets for each level (until such time that I could make it in person).

I have studied with some good teachers and have fumbled along learning as best as I could at the time. However, the thing that really impressed me about Yuan Tze and the Centre was the level of organisational skills employed. Firstly, there is the dedicated space which holds a warm atmosphere. All material taught is available on Practice CDs, the Centre runs regular Classes of the variety on offer, there is a comprehensive Website, AND there has been the foresight to professionally produce the Series of Levels for the Teachers and Therapists Course onto DVDs. The DVDs are live exactly as the attending students received the lessons, so it is very much like being there. One advantage is the (the pause button which gives some time for reflection and taking notes).

Obviously, I would not hesitate to recommend these DVDs to anyone who wishes to learn some of the True Essence of the Wisdom from China to a depth that is only limited by one’s own application of the lessons.

Tuition fees for DVD Training Programme

Option 1: DVDs and assessment NZD $880 for each level

Option 2: DVDs only NZD $780 for each level with assessment $100 fee to be paid at the the time of assessmen

* For any order of multiple levels, please contact us for possible discount.

* For a couple or two family members who wish to do the training together, the second member will get a 50%

discount from the course and assessment fees.

* In the event of any student wishing to withdraw from the Programme, they need to notify the Centre in

writing of the decision to withdraw within 7 days of receiving the Programme materials. When the Centre receives this

notification, it will refund 90% of the total. Immediately after withdrawing, the student is required to return

at his own cost, all the materials he has received.
